Jersey are hoping to put their disappointment from 2014 behind them when they host the European Women's Tournament, says captain Gemma Dunning.
The island side were fourth in Germany last summer and will face Italy, Norway, France and the Germans.
"Last year we had a difficult year, we didn't play the best cricket we could have," she told BBC Radio Jersey.
"We know we underachieved so the girls are looking forward to making amends and doing the island proud."
The Twenty20 tournament begins on Thursday with each team playing each other once at the FB Fields before Saturday's final.
"We would be be delighted to get into those finals, that's our aim and objective for the tournament," she added.
