Jersey ready for first 50-over game of 2015 at Middlesex Academy
Jersey coach Neil MacRae hopes his side can take what they have learned in Twenty20 into their 50-over game.
The island side travel to face Middlesex Academy in their first 50-over game of the year after making last month's World Twenty20 Qualifiers.
The game is a warm-up for their annual inter-island match against rivals Guernsey on 22 August.
"I expect our 50-over cricket to be stronger as a result of the 20-over skills we've developed," said MacRae.
Jersey have won the last three contests between the two Channel Island sides, and Guernsey will go on to play in World Cricket League Division Six after the match at Port Soif.
"Guernsey's a huge match, so this is our 50-over game at a higher level to prepare us for that Guernsey fixture," MacRae told BBC Radio Jersey.
"There's more time in the game so one of the big changes will be that longevity of concentration and it's a great chance this weekend to get straight back into that."
The island side are without bowler Corne Bodenstein, who has a shoulder injury, so Will Harrison steps up from the under-19 squad.
Jersey squad: Peter Gough (capt), Anthony Hawkins-Kay, Charles Perchard, Paul Connolly, Ben Kynman, Ben Stevens, Corey Bisson, Elliot Miles, Dominic Blampied, Rhys Palmer, Callum Rabet, Jonty Jenner, William Harris.
