Angus Robson's half-century helped Leicestershire have the better of a rain-hit opening day against Gloucestershire at Grace Road.
Ned Eckersley (23) and Robson (61) put on 59 for the first wicket in 21 overs to give the hosts a solid start.
Liam Norwell (2-33) accounted for Eckersley and then returned to have Robson caught behind by wicketkeeper Gareth Roderick.
Leicestershire closed on 127-2 with Dan Redfern unbeaten on 29.
