Scotland were comfortably beaten by Bangladesh in their second game in the ICC Women's World Twenty20 Qualifier.

Batting first, the Scots were bowled out for 53, with only Kathryn Bryce (12) reaching double figures, while leg-spinner Rumana Ahmed took 3-9.

Openers Ayasha Rahman (24) and Sharmin Akhter (26) added 53 before both fell with the scores level, but Bangladesh reached 54-2 with 7.2 overs to spare.

Scotland now face tournament hosts Thailand on Tuesday.

The Wildcats, who defeated Papua New Guinea by eight wickets on Saturday, can make the semi-finals if they finish in the top two of Group A, but currently trail PNG - who also have one win and one loss from two games - on net run rate.

In Sunday's other Group A game, PNG beat Thailand by seven wickets.

The top two teams in the eight-strong qualifying tournament will progress to next year's Women's World Twenty20 in India, with Ireland leading Group B with two wins from two.
