Openers Will Porterfield and Sam Hain put on 180 as Warwickshire beat Northants at Edgbaston to move second in the One-Day Cup northern table.
Porterfield made 92 and Hain 88 as the home side reached 257-2 with 12 balls remaining to win by eight wickets.
Northamptonshire were 101-1 after 20 overs, but lost Josh Cobb (50) and Ben Duckett (46) as they slumped to 127-4.
Skipper Alex Wakely hit 70 off 74 balls to see them to 254-9, but the home side made light of their run-chase.
It was Warwickshire's second comfortable win in a row after Rikki Clarke's 5-26 helped them beat Worcestershire by eight wickets on Sunday, and he again bowled well for figures of 2-40.
However, it was Jeetan Patel (2-50) who undermined Northants with two wickets in the same over, including the dangerous Duckett, the day after he made 220 not out for England Lions against Pakistan A.
Warwickshire's openers were in control of the run-chase after taking 21 off Rory Kleinveldt's second over, including four boundaries by Porterfield.
He was eventually run out and Hain fell lbw to Azharullah, but Laurie Evans (43*) finished the job with a boundary off Kleinveldt to put his side into the top four and boost their quarter-final hopes.
