Article say's this lad is England's, thought he is South African?
Would have preferred a HYS on which England players can play County Champs from opening day and which can’t. Same old counties screwed again by ECB.
#3 - so you can have yours! And you duly obliged! :-)
The IPL lasts nearly 2 months, which is ridiculous. It dilutes the tournament and ruins the cricket calendar. Numerous teams have been banned and then re-instated - would be great if they'd cut the number of teams from 8 to 6 and they could knock a couple of weeks off and protect international fixtures, the county season etc. Shame it wont happen - too much $$$$$
A great opportunity for this fine talent to get some quality T20 experience. Good luck to the fella.
@12South African? Well, born there to English mother, Zimbabwean father, school mostly in Zimbabwe, came to England in his teens, plays for England. Not really that simple is it?
Does Starc really have an injury?? Or this a behind the scenes from CA - "you can't benefit financially from the IPL either due to your ball tampering participation"
@10,Ball tampering with sandpaper with cameras everywhere was as ill-conceived and amateurish as it gets.It does smack more of Warners addled brain than anything systematic or organised. If they'd done that before they'd have been caught before.
@10 I firmly believe that at least one of the bowlers will have been involved, I don't see how you tamper a ball without some input from at least one of the people using it. Warner's press conference was very evasive as well. However, I think the whole point of the sandpaper was to make the scratches etc look natural so I don't think you can necessarily assume Starc 'must' have known.
Is this one of those South African lads on the books at Surrey?
