Gotta congratulate the Selectors on their consistency.Denly continues the tradition of picking mediocre batsmen who average mid 30s.#bits'npieces#Div2#nochance

England just love Moeen , don't they? I'm surprised they don't make him open, bat @ 3, bowl 45 overs a day & carry drinks too.
David Rimmer @81It was ever thus, sadly. 2nd keeper on tour has always been an exercise in carrying drinks and towels, certainly since the 70s (I can't remember before that). You wouldn't wish injury on the 1st string keeper but it's the only way you would get a game except some minor game in the sticks. It's certainly worse now, though, with so few tour games being scheduled.
see the BBC elves have sorted their error!
It's fair enough if Buttler keeps, but only if Foakes is not in the XI.
Strange in the Sri Lanka v England: Pick your England team for first Test webpage Mo Ali does not show up as a potential numbers 3 ( or anywhere elase )when he batted there late seasonwell done our BBC!
See the Aussie Player Association wants the x3 cheats back....apparently they say Cricket Australia should take the blame and the players who actually cheated on the pitch have been punished enough.......I’d be amazed if Australian fans would want them back at all...or is it because they are being stuffed by Pakistan in all facets of the game - once a cheat, always a cheat, Warner will do it again
Why give us the option to pick our XI and forget to include Mooen Ali in any of the positions? You would think someone might proof read some of this stuff before it goes live.
Buttler will keep for England in the Tests.....what a strange comment by Joe Root as Buttler bats far better when not handed the responsibility of keeping for England. Reading the comments by other cricket supporters here, there is obviously a swell of opinion in giving young Foakes the gloves..... and finally it would be Foakes Woakes and Stokes....no jokes please.
83. Posted by F Mark Joobyatch ,enjoyed every second of it,all these things should have sorted out except injury & the rest is self inflected ,finding reason for each & every thing is spread like cancer only death is solution ,they never accept the performance of its players outside their home.Cheers
1 Jennings- Nobody knows why he's in the team2 Pope - Let's make the #6 open3 Moeen - Sacrificial pawn4 Root - Too scared to bat @ 35 Bairstow- Broken ankle, but I'll keep6 Stokes - Can't bowl, but I'm an all-rounder7 Buttler - Too scared to bat in the top 68 Denly - Good 20/20 - play Tests9 Rashid - Good ODI - play Test10 Broad - We have seniority11 Anderson- We have seniority
Shows you how the game as changed, Foakes by far the better keeper but likely to be left out. Had all of this nonsense before when they insisted of playing Geraint Jones.
What is the point of calling up Foakes then? I guess he is going as insurance that both Baristwo and Buttler get injured. It must be so soul destroying being just a back-up player particularly when there are no or virtually no games between the Test Matches these days.
