Best thing about this World Cup is that the kit is so horrible I'm not tempted to buy it! It is like they've tried to go retro and just picked all the worst features of a retro kit and mashed them together rather than modernising a classic kit.
We should make the semis and then it will come down to small margins and a more than a little luck. We have a great team and we have had great preparation so now it's time to reap the rewards of all the hard work. Can't wait to cheer for England and to listen to the boos for Australia.
That article about Andrew Strauss and his wife was beautiful. Stay strong Andrew
@261 Not sure what you said but I'm sure it was stupid. Thank you, and goodnight. My bit on the Archer discussion: Archer qualifies under ECB residency rules. He is better than any other option, therefore, he plays. End of.
Playing cricket for two countries is nothing new, in the late 1800's Billy Midwinter played test cricket for Australia & England. I still think selectors will regret their treatment of Willey.
My instinct says IND vs AUS final! As everyone knows ENG chock at critical moments.
You read this board, it seems as though hardly anyone is actually looking forward to the fact that we're hosting a world cup - AND we have a chance of winning it.And...it's a board for cricket supporters!Hopefully, once this thing starts, and Archer nails a few, Mo and Morgan go big, YJB wins player of the tournament, and Buttler breaks a couple of records, the idiots will finally shut it.
Rubbish what's his time. He was alive when we played in a final against Pakistan and Australia and had chance to win. This tournament as not started so how can this be a better chance?
Eligibility is subjective provided it meets the criteria. I am the son of an English father and a Scottish mother. My grandparents are English, Scottish, Irish and French. One son was born in Addis Ababa, another son in Paris and my daughter in Edinburgh. I consider myself Scots, but follow English cricket. Go figure.
@267. why don't Wales put a team in ?Robert Croft has retired.Oh, and they would need 10 others too.
@obsen has had a couple of posts that haven't been removed and I want to know why?;-)
