Is next season's T20 been played as well?
What a load of nonsense, I’m Essex, double winners, what is this London spirit rubbish? Nothing to do with me
Funny how all the teams are sponsored by crisps/ popcorn... The tournament should really be sponsored by crackers since it is totally crackers. I hope it fails.
To put so much money into this the ECB are destroying the county game and insulting cricket fans. Luckily the good sense of the cricket community judging by the comments on here, will land them squarely on their collective corporate a***s
It’s a 100 ball countdown so a batsman will just go six crazy surely or get out ..cricket is so much more beautiful and textured than that . I’m sure people will turn up and tune in but I guess most will be those families which they are aplenty (and stag do’s )that look for trends and excitement but trends fade not like true support
#543 "best way to get more kids playing the game is get cricket played in schools"before 80's Tory govts all Sport was thiving in all state schools incl Football Cricket Rugby NetballTeaching staff paid a modest supplement if they coached sports after school/arranged matches etc Govt axed the teacher payments & overnight cricket etc was OVER in state schools :-(( so short-sighted
Go to your local league grass roots club become a member ,play then drink in the bar ,become part of a real cricket community
And the superchargers in your back garden
Can't wait to go with my wife and little boy.
How about the Trent Brent’s , Manchester lowrys, the Leeds lumpits, the London unequals , the oval prawn sandwich bridgade and the southern cotton wool fairies 🧚♀️
Let’s hope we have disgraceful pitches and crusty dustbowls to ruin the tournament. That said, all pitches will probably be roads.
Sky is to blame for less people watching the game ..forget t.v the best way to get more kids playing the game is get cricket played in schools more ..easy!! .... btw test match special is the best show on radio
Most of the people posting on this site against the hundred or T20 struggled to attend a couple of red ball championship games. To be honest, with T20 I see no need for the hundred.. but something has to kindle an interest in young people & get the game back on terrestrial TV. The problem for cricket is that it is focused in 18 counties with large numbers of people unable to see it on TV or live.
539simple economics, hence why test cricketers get paid more than county cricketers, who earn more than league cricketers. The better the product the more revenue it generates and hence the more the players get.Did that slay your sexism angle?
