James Roe successfully defended his hill-climb title in the second stage of the 2011 Tour of Guernsey.

However Roe was 15 seconds short of his own record for the hill climb at Portelet, after he finished in two minutes 45 seconds.

Josh Gosselin was seven seconds behind and Leon Ogier took third spot in two minutes 57 seconds.

Andy Colver finished fourth but retained the leader's Jersey with Roe in second and Gosselin in third.

In the veteran's category, Gary Wallbridge finished 10 seconds ahead of Dave English in three minutes 27 seconds, but English has a one point lead overall.
