Track sprint cyclist John Paul, who won gold at this year's Junior World Cycling Championships, has revealed he has enjoyed a "dream year".
Wantage-based Paul won Oxford's Sportsman of the Year on Friday.
The 18-year-old told BBC Oxford: "It's amazing. It's been an absolute dream year. I've won all the major titles that I set out to take.
"It does add a bit more pressure but when you're there racing you try not to let it get to you."
He continued: "Things have improved so much over the last year I just have to hope they can carry on getting better."
Paul, who is originally from Scotland, won Oxford's Junior Sportsperson of the Year award last year.
