Stoke-on-Trent duo Phil Taylor and Andy Hamilton are through to the last eight of the World Matchplay in Blackpool.
Defending champion Taylor defeated Wolverhampton's Wayne Jones 13-7 to set up a quarter-final tie with Wes Newton.
"It was brilliant for me to win so well because I'd not played like that for a couple of months," said Taylor.
Hamilton followed up his first-round victory over Gary Anderson with success against another Scottish player, winning 13-11 against John Henderson.
"John has got a good record against me and I had to go up there and play good darts, which I didn't do but I hit some good finishes when I needed to," said Hamilton, who is now based in Derby.
All four quarter-final matches will be played on Friday, with Hamilton taking on Simon Whitlock and world champion Adrian Lewis facing Mark Webster in the afternoon session.
Taylor's match against Newton follows the match between Raymond van Barneveld and UK Open champion James Wade.
