London 2012: Eventer Mark Todd suffers Olympic blow

New Zealand eventer Mark Todd has suffered a blow ahead of the Olympics with his preferred horse - NZB Land Vision - ruled out of London 2012.

Todd, 56, won gold medals in Los Angeles (1984) and Seoul (1988) and is one of only two New Zealanders to compete in six Olympics.

The horse has suffered a recurrence of a tendon injury and will be stood down from competition for three months.

Berkshire-based Todd could now ride 10-year-old NZB Campino in London.
