Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Wilson Palacios will be sidelined for up to three weeks after having arthroscopic surgery on his right knee.
The 26-year-old Honduras international reported the injury to medical staff after training on Thursday, the club said in a statement on their website.
Palacios has made 29 appearances for the Champions League quarter-finalists this season.
He last featured in the 3-1 league defeat at Blackpool on 22 February.
Palacios will definitely miss Tottenham's Premier League matches against West Ham and his former club Wigan, but should have recovered in time to be available for the first leg of the club's Champions League quarter-final
