Sam Wedgbury's injury-time goal earned Macclesfield a draw with Lincoln.
The Imps took the lead when Stephen Hunt's curling effort crashed in off the crossbar.
Visiting keeper Trevor Carson repelled Tyrone Barnett and Hamza Bencherif but City's Ben Hutchinson was sent off for a second yellow card.
The hosts took full advantage and Carson could do nothing about Wedgbury's fine volley from 22 yards that flew through a crowd of players.
Lincoln City manager Steve Tilson told BBC Lincolnshire:
"Effort and desire-wise the lads put in a great shift tonight, down to 10 men and then to nine, and it took a great strike for them to get something out of the game.
"The ref was picky, booking people for almost nothing but we have to be disciplined. Hutch has to learn from that, because it put us in a position where with 30 minutes to go we were down to 10 men and you can't afford to do that. For me the first one wasn't a booking but once he's been booked, to do what he did was silly.
"Things aren't getting any easier but fair play to the lads, they stuck in there well tonight."
