Southend 0-0 Aldershot
Aldershot made it eight games without defeat after they battled to a goalless draw at Southend.
Shots nearly went ahead, but Damien Spencer saw his effort well kept out by Blues goalkeeper Glenn Morris.
Spencer was again denied by Morris, this time seeing his headed effort tipped onto the post.
The hosts could also have won it when Barry Corr saw his effort hit the crossbar, but the sides had to settle for a point each.
Southend United manager Paul Sturrock told BBC Essex:"We should have hit the target in two or three of our chances, but that's football and we should be doing better at home.
"The conditions on the pitch at the moment are very difficult and the ball is bouncing much higher and it was one of those games where both teams cancelled each other out.
"(On the play-offs) It's a big ask, but you never give up hope. We are going to give it our best shot."
Aldershot Town manager Dean Holdsworth told BBC Surrey:"Both teams had chances to win the game and I'm very pleased with our performance for 95% of the game.
"We got on the ball as quick as we could, and we started the game very well and but for the scoreline I'm delighted.
"The unbeaten run is very important for us and so is the clean sheet away from home, so we'll see this as a decent point even though it could have easily been three."
