Title-chasing Crusaders will be without experienced striker David Rainey for the rest of the season.

The former Glentoran frontman sustained a knee ligament injury in Saturday's 3-1 win away to Coleraine and will play no further part in the crucial run-in.

The Crues are level on points with leaders Linfield who have a much better goal difference and a match in hand and the top two clash on Friday night.

The match at Seaview has a 1945 BST kick-off and is all-ticket.

The Crues have put themselves into contention for the Premiership crown by winning 10 league matches in a row.

"We have five league games to go and we are just glad to be in the mix," said manager Stephen Baxter.

"If we had lost one of those 10 matches we would have been out of it. That is how far behind we were.

"We probably need someone to do us a favour somewhere down the line but we must look after ourselves and win our matches."

"Saturday's win at Coleraine has ensure we have qualified for Europe and we are very pleased."
