Notts County 1-2 Rochdale
- From the section Football
Rochdale moved within two points of a play-off place after they beat managerless Notts County.
Craig Dawson put the visitors ahead when he fired in off a Nicky Adams corner, before Will Atkinson nodded in from close range to double the lead.
Craig Westcarr drove against the post as the home side looked to find a way back into the match.
Lee Hughes did pull one back when he struck from three yards, but the Dale held on for the win.
POST-MATCH REACTION
Notts County caretaker manager Carl Heggs told BBC Radio Nottingham:
"The first 15 minutes epitomised what this club has been going through for the last 10 weeks.
"We switch off and straight away we're a goal down and then we go 2-0 down before we started and there's no confidence.
"At 2-0 we saw a reaction. We got a spark in the second half. We had a right go in the second half. With a bit of luck we could have something out of the game."
