Wycombe 2-2 Northampton

Promotion-chasing Wycombe battled back from two goals behind to draw with struggling Northampton.

Shaun Harrad put the Cobblers ahead from the penalty spot, after Scott Donnelly had fouled Paul Rodgers.

Guillem Bouza doubled the lead before the break when he raced onto Josh Walker's cross and slotted in.

Donnelly pulled one back with a close-range finish, before Leon Johnson headed in a Donnelly corner late on to snatch a point for the home side.

POST-MATCH REACTION

Wycombe Wanderers manager Gary Waddock told BBC Three Counties Radio:

"I'm happy with a point considering the position we were in at half-time.

"It's the second game running we've had to claw back a two-goal deficit.

"But we have to make sure we perform in both halves. We have to make sure we're more consistent during the course of the game."

Northampton Town manager Gary Johnson tells BBC Radio Northampton:

"We knew we were coming to a team at the top of the league but we were 2-0 up, we had a couple of great opportunities.

"They showed a lot of effort and commitment. They were really committed and we played some good football in the first half. I was proud of them.

"We know we've got quality in the squad, they just had to up their passion, work-rate and spirit."
