Struggling Lincoln brought an end to their five-match losing streak with a hard-fought point at Crewe.
The Imps started brightly with Ali Fuseini and Ben Hutchinson both wasting good chances before Clark Keltie's long-range effort hit the crossbar.
Paul Green fired the visitors ahead after the break when he got on the end of Danny Hone's knockdown.
Clayton Donaldson levelled the scores from the penalty spot after Green fouled Ashley R Westwood.
Lincoln City manager Steve Tilson told BBC Lincolnshire:
"I think they only had one shot and the penalty all game. They've got a good record at home so it shows how well we've done and I'm proud of the lads.
"In this situation you need players to be brave and have no fear and I thought we did that. We should have won the game, there's no doubt about it and I feel really hard done by.
"How the ref could give their penalty having not given us one in the first half is incredible. I find it strange because he had to have had a better view than the linesman (who overruled him) and it was a stonewall penalty. Julian Kelly is the most honest lad I've worked with and he wouldn't know how to dive."
