Dundee United manager Peter Houston was pleased to get back to winning ways with the 2-0 victory against St Johnstone.
United recovered from a midweek defeat to Motherwell by claiming all three points against Saints.
"I asked them before the game to try and get a clean sheet and get three points and they've done that," Houston told BBC Scotland.
"I'm pleased with the three points and I thought it was merited."
St Johnstone's Steven Anderson was sent off early in the game and Houston felt his side at times made it difficult for themselves.
"It wasn't pretty at times, I think the early sending off upset the game a wee bit in many ways," he added.
"Credit to St Johnstone, they worked hard. They were always dangerous.
"Dusan Pernis had a great save from Murray Davidson. It all stemmed from us giving the ball away and doing the wrong things and that's the thing that disappoints me."
