MK Don boss Karl Robinson is confident his future at the club will be secured "sooner rather than later".

The 30-year-old, who is in his first full season in charge at Stadium MK, is out of contract in four weeks' time.

"Me and the chairman have had a number of chats and I'm sure we'll get things resolved sooner rather than later," he told BBC Three Counties Radio.

"We have sat down once or twice, but it's got to be right for everybody and I'm sure it will be."

He added: "I can't see it being too far down the line.

"Everyone knows that my passion for this football club stays extremely strong and we all want the right thing for the club."

The former Liverpool academy coach was appointed Dons boss in May last year after Paul Ince's departure, making him the youngest manager in the Football League.

Robinson's side are currently fifth in League One, seven places higher than last season's 12th-place finish.
