Peterborough United midfielder Arron Davies feels he has taken time to prove himself to boss Darren Ferguson.
The 26-year-old was brought to London Road by Gary Johnson but struggled for match action under Ferguson.
Davies told BBC Radio Cambridgeshire: "I was a bit disappointed with the first couple of games where I wasn't involved, but I got my head down.
"The gaffer has said a lot of positive things to me and I think I've done well when I've been called upon."
The former Nottingham Forest and Yeovil man arrived at Posh over the summer, having impressed during a trial spell.
He slipped out of the first team picture following the ariving of Ferguson in January, but has been a regular off the bench in recent weeks.
"Ferguson likes the way I can play a number of positions across the midfield and I'm loving playing in a more central role, in fact I see that as my position now," he said.
Davies' contract at London Road runs through until the summer of 2012.
