Leicester City boss Sven-Goran Eriksson is contemplating handing Aleksandar Tunchev a return to first-team action after 18 months out injured.
The Bulgarian centre-half has not played for the Foxes since September 2009 because of two knee injuries.
But despite fears his career could be over, the 29-year-old is in contention for Friday's game at Nottingham Forest.
Eriksson told BBC Radio Leicester: "He is closer and closer. He is training on a regular basis. We'll see."
