Torquay United manger Paul Buckle is under no illusions as to the importance of Friday's match against Chesterfield.
If Torquay fail to beat the Spireites, their hopes of gaining a spot in the play-offs will be all but over.
Buckle told BBC Devon: "All season we've had some fantastic games, and they're not going to come much bigger than that one now.
"We'd like to thank all of our fans, they're excellent, and it's going to be a really pulsating end to the season."
The Gulls surrendered a two-goal advantage in their last outing against Burton Albion on Monday.
The match at the Pirelli Stadium ended 3-3, extending the Gulls run without a win to three games and forcing them out of the League Two play-off places.
Buckle added: "It shows how far we've come because we were bitterly disappointed with a point.
"We're disappointed, we were in a good, strong position, but at the end of the day we've shown immense character to come back and get a point."
