Montrose bounced back to winning ways with a comprehensive victory over basement side East Stirlingshire.

Sean Pierce opened the scoring with a seventh-minute header from Ross McCord's inswinging corner.

Daryl Nicol dusted himself down after being fouled by Shire goalkeeper Michael Andrews to convert the resulting penalty.

Pierce doubled his tally and completed the scoring with a low drive from 18 yards on 17 minutes.
