Southampton striker Rickie Lambert has praised the Saints defence, after they recorded their 19th clean sheet of the season on Monday.
Lambert scored one and set up the second, as Saints beat Hartlepool United 2-0 to stay second in the table.
"The defence have been superb this season, it's reassuring to have them there," Lambert told BBC Radio Solent.
"All you've got to think about is scoring the winning goal as you're confident of keeping a clean sheet."
Southampton have lost just once since the start of March and recorded a key victory at League One Champions Brighton on Saturday.
Lambert says his team's form has come at just the right time.
"It's the most important part of the season if you're going to be in form you want it to be at this end," said the 29-year-old.
"So it's encouraging to know we're in form and we're fully confident going into our last games.
"There is pressue and a lot of expectation on us this season to go back up and I think we've done terrific to get into this position and we just need to finish it off now."
Southampton currently sit second in the League One table, level on points with Huddersfield, who themselves are on an impressive 23 game unbeaten run, but have a game in on the Terriers.
