Gateshead winger James Marwood has been ruled out of the final two games of the season after undergoing an operation on a broken ankle.
The 20-year-old faces a three month lay-off but should be fit for the start of next season.
"I'm confident Marwood will be fit for the start of next season," boss Ian Bogie told the Evening Chronicle.
"Players don't return to training until the start of July and he'll have had a couple of months of rehab by then."
Marwood has made 26 appearances for the Tynesiders this term.
