Hamilton manager Billy Reid singled out the contribution of red-carded Alex Neil in the vital 1-0 Scottish Premier League win against St Mirren.
Neil was sent off for a second offence, but Reid said the club captain was an influential figure and will be missed in their survival bid.
"I thought he was brilliant," stated Reid. "I thought he controlled the whole match - he's a great footballer.
"I have no complaints about the sending off, but he's a massive loss for us."
Both sides were reduced to 10 men when Jure Travner and Neil were sent off for second bookable offences in either half, before Antoine-Curier bulleted in a superb header 16 minutes from full-time after latching on to a Dougie Imrie cross.
With three matches remaining, the result gives Reid's men hope of retaining their SPL status, while St Mirren need only four points to avoid the drop.
"We said it would be one game at a time," added Reid. "We've now won two games out of the last three.
"The commitment was there for everyone to see. I wanted to come here on this fantastic playing surface and get the ball down, which I think we did for long spells.
"Even before they got a man sent off, I thought we controlled the game.
"The big thing for us is Alex Neil picking up a sending off. We dominated the game and he put himself under pressure, it was silly.
"I've said all along he's a super football player - he creates space.
"Sometimes the Premier League is hurly-burly, but he always has time on the ball and we play to his strengths.
"I thought he was man of the match today."
