Peterborough director of football Barry Fry says Posh will receive £200,000 from Norwich City following the Canaries' .

The cash has been paid as part of the deal that took defender Russell Martin from London Road to Norwich last term.

The 25-year-old right-back has played every minute of every game in City's league campaign this season.

"Russell has done very well at the club and everybody is happy for him," Fry told the club website.

"Norwich City are a family club and we congratulate them on a wonderful achievement."

Posh also received £100,000 last season as Martin was part of the Norwich side that won the League One title.

Fry added that Posh have landed similar windfalls from Scott Griffiths' loan deal to Chesterfield and by selling the likes of Paul Coutts and Ben Wright.

"Paul Coutts triggered a £50,000 payment from Preston North End after reaching a milestone appearance, while we also received a bonus payment from Chesterfield on top of the loan fee for Scott Griffiths," he said.

"We also had £25,000 from Crawley for Ben Wright after they secured promotion even though he hasn't actually played much."
