Rory McAllister scored his 19th league goal of the season as Brechin cemented their promotion play-off place with a win over Ayr.

Neil Janczyk crossed for the striker to head into the top corner on 19 minutes.

Brechin's Ewan Moyes then wasted a chance to double the advantage as he put his effort over the bar from six yards.

Ayr's best effort fell to David Crawford, who fired inches over from 18 yards.
