Coleraine have announced that midfielder Aaron Black has left the club by mutual consent.

"Aaron has endured an injury-hit season with Coleraine and it's been a frustrating time for him," said Bannsiders manager Oran Kearney.

"He has also found the travelling difficult and we both felt it was probably for the best that he leaves the club and seeks new challenges."

Coleraine signed the 27-year-old from Crusaders last May on a two-year deal.

Back-up goalkeeper Laurence McCormick has also been released by the Bannsiders.

The local keeper had made 34 first team appearances for Coleraine, including five during the past season.

Davy O'Hare has also been released by the club and Stephen Carson is leaving Coleraine to join Glentoran.

However, following the January signing of Gavin Cullen, McCormick found himself knocked down the pecking order and finished the season on loan with Ballymoney United.

Kearney has also revealed that he has now completed contract discussions with the existing Coleraine squad and hopes to be able to announce a number of contract extensions in the near future.

Discussions have also been on-going with a number of transfer targets and the Coleraine manager is hopeful that positive news will soon be available for release.
