Aleksandar Tunchev to discover Leicester City fate

Injury-plagued centre-half Aleksandar Tunchev is likely to find out this week if he has a future at Leicester City.

Tunchev, 29 is out of contract in June and has only played five games in two seasons because of two knee injuries.

The Bulgarian's agent arrives for talks on Tuesday and Tunchev fears his lack of games may cost him.

He told BBC Radio Leicester: "For the gaffer [Sven-Goran Eriksson] and club it's so hard because I have had a long injury but now I feel strong."

Tunchev played an hour of Saturday's 4-2 win over Ipswich Town. That was only his second game this season, with his previous appearance before that coming in September 2009.

The defender said he feared for his career during his enforced lay-off.

"I had times when I thought I might not come back and play again but I am happy that I can play and train and feel good," he said.
