Guernsey's disability football team enjoyed a successful trip to Southampton, winning over half of their 5-a-side games.

The Sarnians took on four local disability teams, winning six matches, with two draws and one defeat.

Assistant coach Rose Corbet said: "We didn't expect to go there to win, so to win the first game was extra special for the boys.

"The boys all worked together well as a team and they showed off their skills."

"This is the first time that we've been to Southampton, but we do try to take the players away once a year."
