Richie Baker says he would like to return to Barrow next season, if he can agree a deal with the Bluebirds.
The 23-year-old midfielder scored five goals in 14 appearances following his February move to Holker Street, after leaving Oxford in January.
"The Barrow move is a really good offer, everything is on my doorstep," Baker told BBC Radio Cumbria.
"Hopefully we'll get something sorted for next season, because I have enjoyed it here."
The Burnley-born midfielder began his career with Preston before moving to Bury in 2006.
After four seasons at Gigg Lane, Baker joined Oxford on a short-term deal last summer, but made just eight appearances at the Kassam Stadium during his six-month spell.
His brace in Barrow's 2-0 final day victory against Hayes & Yeading ensured Blue Square Bet Premier safety, which has opened the door to begin talks on a new deal.
"I'm going to have a meeting with [joint-managers] Dave Bayliss and Darren Sheridan," Baker added.
"I'm hopeful. We spoke before the end of the season about this year and they didn't want to sign anyone because they weren't safe at the time."
