Hull City are targeting seven summer signings, according to head of football operations Adam Pearson.

The Championship club have already completed permanent deals for Manchester United youngsters Joe Dudgeon and Corry Evans.

Leeds midfielder Bradley Johnson and Nottingham Forest striker Dele Adebola are understood to be among the targets.

Two new goalkeepers and a centre-half are also being sought by City manager Nigel Pearson.

Adam Pearson told the Hull Daily Mailexternal-link: "There's a lot of trading to be done. We've made lots of offers and enquiries and we will focus on those in the next two months.

"It's up to us to work within a good budget and we'd like to bring six or seven new players in and maybe move six or seven out.

"Some will excite supporters, some won't, but that's not what we are here for.

"We're here to put together a balanced squad with age, playing ability and character all coming into our thoughts."

But City may also have to deal with an approach for their manager, if reports linking Nigel Pearson to the vacant West Ham job are to be believed.
