Sheffield Wednesday have signed Swindon Town midfielder David Prutton and Scunthorpe United defender Rob Jones on free transfers.
Jones, 31, spent the latter part of this season on loan at Wednesday, featuring eight times.
Prutton, 29, joined Swindon in July 2010 and made 46 appearances for the relegated club this term, scoring three goals.
Both players have signed two-year contracts at Hillsborough.
The Owls were linked with a move for former Southampton and Leeds man Prutton last summer and renewed their interest last week.
He is the second player to leave the Robins for a League One side this summer after Michael Rose's switch to Colchester.
Jones started his career at Gateshead before spells at Stockport, Macclesfield, Grimsby and Hibernian.
He joined Scunthorpe in July 2009 and made 48 appearances for the club.
