Southampton striker David Connolly has signed a one-year contract extension that will keep him at St Mary's until the end of next season.
The 33-year-old scored four in 17 games this term as Saints won promotion to the Championship.
"It's nice to feel you are wanted," said Connolly.
"We know the club wants to go to the Premier League, so it's nice to be involved with that and I'm looking forward to next season."
The former West Ham and Sunderland striker added: "It will suit the club to be in the Championship.
"We won't be a big fish in a small pond anymore, we will be among the other fishes and there is no reason why we cant go on to have another successful season."
