Newly promoted Crawley Town have signed 21-year-old striker John Akinde from Bristol City and 25-year-old winger Jamie Day from Rushden and Diamonds.
The pair are Crawley's first summer additions after promotion to League Two as Blue Square Bet Premier champions.
Manager Steve Evans said: "We are going about our business nicely.
"We said that the additions would largely be players who have performed at a higher level, are very hungry for success and in the main young."
Akinde, who has had loan spells with Wycombe, Brentford, Bristol Rovers and Dagenham during his time at the Robins, has agreed a two-year deal.
"John is a superb addition for us," boss Evans continued. "He has all the physical attributes and defenders can never rest when he is playing.
"The boy is quick and is someone we look forward to working with in the season ahead. We have beaten some very good clubs for his signature and perhaps that says a lot about our infrastructure and ambitions."
Day, who can play both left-sided midfield and at left full-back, began his career at Peterborough United before joining Rushden in June 2010.
He made 39 appearances for the Blue Square Bet Premier club this campaign.
"We saw Jamie a number of times this season and he was always highly impressive," said Evans.
"Before that I watched him when he was outstanding at Peterborough United when they won promotion from League Two.
"We believe he is another excellent addition to the dressing room and I know Jamie can't wait to join up with the rest of the lads when we start pre-season training at the end of June."
