Aberdeen hope to have Jamie Langfield back in training by September.
The goalkeeper, 31, was taken into Glasgow's Southern General Hospital on 30 May after suffering a seizure.
A statement on the club's website said: "Jamie had a positive consultation with his specialist as he continues to recover from a seizure.
"He will return to his specialist in a month for further routine checks and should be given the green light to resume training in September."
The goalkeeper signed for Aberdeen from Dunfermline in 2005 and recently committed his future to the club by signing a new contract that runs until the end of next season.
