South Korea sink Black Stars
Koo Ja-cheol struck in stoppage time to give South Korea a dramatic 2-1 win over Ghana in a friendly at the Jeonju World Cup Stadium on Tuesday.
The Wolfsburg midfielder was introduced as a second-half substitute and his goal maintains Korea's impressive form.
Korea took the lead after 12 minutes when Ji Dong-won's header beat Black Stars goalkeeper Richard Kingson.
Asamoah Gyan then missed an immediate chance to equalise when he fluffed his lines from the penalty spot.
Both teams continued to attack and Ghana grabbed a deserved equaliser after 65 minutes.
Sulley Muntari released Gyan and the BBC African Footballer of the Year shot low into the Korean net.
With just seconds remaining, Koo scored from close range to give South Korea the win.
The Black Stars' defeat is the first suffered by coach Goran Stevanovic, who was taking charge of his fifth match.
