Torpoint Athletic appoint Scott Bamford as new manager

Peninsula Premier League outfit Torpoint Athletic have appointed Scott Bamford as their new manager.

The former Elburton Villa boss replaces Stuart Dudley, who stepped down from the role last month.

Dudley guided Torpoint Athletic to the quarter-finals of the FA Vase last season, where they were beaten 2-1 by Poole Town.

The club's reserves were crowned Cornwall Junior Cup champions in April, beating Illogan RBL 4-1 in the final.

Launceston AFC have also appointed a new manager with former Liskeard Athletic boss Leigh Cooper taking up the role, assisted by Tony Richardson.
