Falkirk have signed Darren Dods after the veteran central defender left Dundee United.
The 36-year-old had been with the Scottish Premier League club since exiting Inverness Caledonian Thistle in 2007 but was now out of contract.
Edinburgh-born Dods began his career with hometown club Hibernian and moved to St Johnstone six years later.
However, he made only four appearances for United last term, his last coming in early October.
Dods' season was cut short following a serious knee injury that required surgery.
Now the defender, who won a Scotland B cap in 2007, will hope to help Falkirk win promotion from Division One.
