Cambridge United have signed midfielder Steven Connors on a two-year deal after his release from Fleetwood.
The 25-year-old was not offered new terms by the Cod Army, after ending the season on loan at Altrincham in the Blue Square Bet Premier.
He featured 11 times for the Robins after joining them in March.
"Steven first came to my attention when we watched Altrincham against Southport," boss Jez George told the club website.
"He is a tenacious, ball-winning left-footed midfield player who gives us tremendous balance and completes a group of midfield players that cover every base."
Connors, who joined Fleetwood from Bradford Park Avenue in February 2009, added: "It feels great to sign for Cambridge, after meeting with Jez I could see Cambridge are going in the right direction.
"I believe in hard work and team work and I hope to be a big influence in the side."
