Bristol City have signed Rotherham United striker Ryan Taylor on a three-year deal.
Taylor, who hit 12 goals for the Millers last season, was also understood to be a target for City's Championship rivals Millwall.
The 23-year-old turned down a new contract with Rotherham to come to Ashton Gate.
A transfer fee has been agreed between the two clubs, which will remain undisclosed.
Rotherham's chief operating officer told the club website: "Although we were disappointed that Ryan decided to leave the club, we understood his desire to play at a higher level.
"Bristol City were very fair in their dealings with us and I wish him all the best with his new club."
Relegated Scunthorpe United were also reportedly in the frame for the front man.
Rotherham have already prepared for Taylor's departure by bringing in Chris Holroyd from Cambridge United.
