Bath City have signed goalkeeper Jason Matthews for next season's Blue Square Bet Premier campaign.
The 36-year-old former Exeter player spent the last three years at Eastleigh, making 137 appearances before being released in May.
"I'm chuffed to be coming back to playing for a local club," he told the club website.
"I've always lived in the Bath area and I used to come and watch Bath City whenever I could."
He continued: "I decided I didn't want to travel anymore for home games and really fancied playing for Bath.
"I'd been watching to see what the movements were and I saw the club signed Glyn Garner. I got in touch with Adie [Britton], though, and it just snowballed from there.
"I know I'm going to be in competition with Glyn, but I didn't come here just to sit on the bench."
Manager Britton added: "For the last few seasons we've not had a second keeper who's really been in a position to put any pressure on the starter.
"Ideally you want all players to feel a bit of pressure, and that's what Jason is going to bring to team."
