Hereford United sign striker Delroy Facey
Hereford United have signed former Lincoln City striker Delroy Facey on a one-year contract.
Bulls boss Jamie Pitman told BBC Hereford and Worcester the 31-year-old front man will increase their options.
"It's something that perhaps we missed when we lost Mattie [Mathieu Manset to Reading] where we needed that sort of striker to give us something different.
"He comes with an abundance of experience and we are absolutely delighted to have him here," he said.
Hereford will be Facey's 14th Football League club and the Bulls are well aware of his capabilities after he scored three times against them last season.
"He does work hard and does a job for the team and hopefully he will score a few more goals than he has done in recent years," said Pitman.
"That hopefully will come with the style that we are going to be trying to play but we are absolutely delighted to have him here."
Pitman also confirmed he had been in talks with former Oldham striker Lewis Alessandra, only for the player to opt for a move to Morecambe.
"I had a chat with him but he has opted to stay up north where his roots are and I understand that," he added.
"That is his prerogative and I have to work within a budget so I can only give any player a certain amount of money.
"I can't just go throwing money around as we haven't got it."
