Blyth Spartans have announced a deal for former Chauny forward Yanis Galas, subject to international clearance from the Football Association.
The 25-year-old striker represented his homeland Guadeloupe at under-18 level and has French citizenship.
"He looks a more than decent player," boss Steve Cuggy told the club website.
"He doesn't speak a great deal of English, but he has impressed, so it'll be really interesting to see how he does in the friendlies."
Cuggy added: "We obviously have to be wary that he is new to English football and to the non-league scene, so it might take him a while to settle, but the signs so far have been promising."
