English Premier League side Swansea have denied reports that they are on the verge of signing Ghana defender Isaac Vorsah.
The 23-year-old has been an instrumental player for Hoffenheim over the past two seasons.
German media reports had suggested that Swansea chairman Huw Jenkins was to meet with the German side over a move
But Jenkins has dismissed the reports as untrue.
"Swansea City would like to confirm that there is no truth in this rumour." he said on the club's website.
The Welsh club will be competing in the Premier League for the first time in history.
Vorsah has been with Hoffenheim since 2008 and been a central figure in their successes.
He played for his country in the opening match of the 2010 World Cup in South Africa before an injury kept him out for the subsequent matches.
But he returned from the injury in time to take part in the Black Stars in the quarter final clash against Uruguay.
Vorsah has been linked with several clubs including Stoke City and Bayern Munich.
