Glentoran striker Matty Burrows has informed the Oval club that he is moving to live in Spain.
Burrows' contract with the Glens runs until June 2012 and the club will retain his registration until then.
Manager Scott Young intends to include the forward in his squad for Thursday night's Europa League game against Vorskla Poltava at the Oval.
His appearance will afford supporters the opportunity to acknowledge the player's contribution to the club.
A statement issued by Glentoran said neither the club nor manager Young would stand in the striker's way.
Burrows joined the Glens from East Belfast rivals Dundela and will be best remembered for his spectacular goal against Portadown which was nominated for the Fifa World Goal of the Year award.
Burrows rubbed shoulders with world stars such as Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo at the lavish awards ceremony in January.
